Sometimes I am secretly glad when my little girl is too sick to go to preschool but well enough to run errands all by herself with just Momma.... especially when somebody is over watching the boys while they are napping and the other sister is at school. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to only have one child. For now I will welcome one on one time even when technically the little one could have gone to school.
Maile filled her time entertaining herself in the mirror while waiting for her date to take her to such magical places as Trader Joes, Wal-Mart & The Dollar Tree. I hope that when she looks into the mirror she will always see her worth. It was a good day.
What sweet thoughts. I'm sure with a mother like you, she'll grow up confident in her knowledge of her divine nature. She can't help inheriting talent! Right? My little girl was home sick last week as well. I agree, those are some of the most rewarding days...not the sick part, but just having the one on one time. Glad you seized the moment. Thanks so much for the invite...hope your little Maile is on the mend.
ReplyDeletewhat a gorgeous tuffed bench, my friend! oh, and gorgeous little girl ~too! i am sure she enjoyed the time spent together as much as you.
ReplyDeletetoo bad our miles aren't so far apart. would love to go shopping with you, too. even if it was only to the "normal" stores. i would enjoy it all!
mirror mirror on the wall, whos the fairest one of all? Maile. Maile. Maile. She is a doll.
ReplyDeleteLoving the new blog.. Thanks for the invite.. I feel special!
ReplyDeleteI remember running errands with my mom when I was little too (oh and watching her put her makeup on was the best).. I just loved to be with her.. STILL DO!!! What a sweet comment about her looking into the mirror.. What a great example she has to live up to! Sweet mama :)
Whitney beat me to the mirror, mirror thought that came into my head. I'm glad that you two got some one on one time. Hope your feeling better as well as little M.
ReplyDeleteOne-on-one is the best. I'm so glad you got it. You should keep one of them home from preschool more often by suggesting they play sick. I just love your girls. They are both so precious.
